Our Story

Tiny Gallery began in February 2023 with a single, miniature gallery placed on a front lawn in Montclair, New Jersey.

What started as an experiment in scale quickly became a movement in access. Neighbors lingered. Kids pressed their faces up to the glass. Artists said yes.

Operating under fiscal sponsorship through Fractured Atlas, Tiny Gallery formed the Tiny Arts Foundation and transitioned to independent 501(c)(3) status in late 2025.

To date, Tiny Gallery has exhibited more than 150 artists, produced 40+ solo shows, led workshops, and invited children across town to create and display their own tiny works. The galleries are free, public, and always open, meeting people on sidewalks, near schools, and outside coffee shops, transforming ordinary corners into sites of wonder.

Now, the Tiny Arts Foundation is poised to build a tiny art movement with an outsized belief: that fine art belongs everywhere and that scale should never determine significance.

Tiny is Wondrous

Tiny Gallery’s mission is to bring small moments of beauty into our everyday lives.

Our network of compact, box-sized art galleries makes creating and collecting art more inclusive by disrupting the idea of what fine art can be.

Our Mission

Tiny is Anywhere

Going small has big advantages. Tiny art can be made on a kitchen table, rather than a studio. It can be displayed on a shelf rather than a wall and can travel in an envelope rather than a crate.

Similarly, Tiny Galleries can be installed on front lawns, in parks, schools, theaters, libraries, hospitals, hiking trails, hotels—anywhere you can imagine.

Tiny is for Everyone

Tiny Gallery aims to help underrecognized, emerging, mid-career, and established artists reach a wider and more diverse audience while expanding the public’s access to fine art. We believe that everyone deserves to live with something beautiful.

Tiny Gallery removes the limitations of space and cost and creates an opportunity for anyone to collect art in an unexpectedly intimate way.
